Darya von Berner
“Thinking like a deer (Untitled (10.C.R.)”
Performance & Acryl on linen, 1996.
300 x 200 cm.
The gaze of the animal reveals our difficulties in managing our relationship with the environment and nature. Darya von Berner paints all available space, the walls, the floor, the ceiling, some objects and herself. At the same time, these animals that look at us from the wall, have inevitably become extinct, as these walls of museums, arts center and galleries returned to be painted white, except some paintings like “Thinking like a deer (Untitled (10.C.R.))”.
