Plaza del Sol
Barcelona, 1999

Estribos was a site-specific intervention at the ‘Plaza de Sol’ in Barcelona, for which an existing Pergola was dressed in red textile panels, which extended down from the roof of a nearby house. The intervention played with the psychological effect of the color red, and in that sense can be understood as Darya von Berners first creation of an athmosphere.
